Cub with Dad

Another fun day yesterday making these 2 cards, stamps are from Artful Inkables, colored with copic markers & a bit of layering.

Simple Tree

This little tree came with my set from Artful Inkables called Lion's Pride, one of my favorite trees. I added color to the background with my earth tone chalks.

Secret Pocket

This is a neat technique I found in a video at the Hero Art's blog & decided to give it a try, easier than it looked but I did watch the video 3 times. It's done by cutting 3 - 3 inch circles & the scallops are made with 9 - 1 inch circles taped to the back. I thought it was a pretty neat idea, so here is my version. If you're interested in giving this one a try click HERE to see the video.

Little Tree

I was just playing around with my 1 inch circle punch to make scallops & this is what I came up with yesterday. I'm not so sure I like the card but I did find a new use for my circle punches.

A Pig & an Owl

These are 2 of the cards I came up with yesterday for a Valentine swap. The cute little pig was a freebie that came with my order from High Hope stamps, I've had him for awhile now so it was fun getting to use him on a card. My little owl is from Great Impressions stamps, I just got him last week. He's so cute & chubby I had to have him.

A Boy's Best Friends

Having gotten my chores done the day before, including tidying & cleaning my craft room, I got to stamp all day. It was hard to get started as I wanted to keep my craft room neat, I don't get to see it that way often. I finally just picked up the rubber, ink & paper, got to make 2 cards & 2 ATC's, that's what I call having a productive, fun day.

This was a High Hopes stamp I got before Christmas but never got to ink it up, it is so adorable I finally got to use it yesterday. That dog sure has some big paws but the sweetest face.

Embossed ATC's

Here are a couple of ATC's I made for an embossed swap.

Hello Peel-off

This was a peel-off I colored with my glaze pens a very long time ago, thought it was time to do some layering with it & make a card, so here it is.

Buckle Cards

These are my first 2 attempts at Buckle cards, I did them for a swap I joined, got the directions from SCS. I don't have the word punch so I used my craft knife to cut the opening, took a few tries to get the right size & not have it look too raggedy but it worked eventually.

Patches & MY Chair

My little darling did it again, the first time he did this he was only 6 months old & the chair only 3 months old. He is now 1 1/2 yrs old & this is about the 5th time he's done it, I just don't understand. I had 3 large towels tucked in really well around it but doesn't deter him at all. I guess I'm back to putting the ottoman, upside down on MY chair again, gives the place such a warm welcoming look don't y'a think. As my daughter put it, he's so lucky I love him.

A Little Light

When I first saw this card I was intrigued, well not this card (this is my version) but the original card designed by Michael Strong, he created the stamp as well. It's done with only 1 stamp & is just so versatile, I had to have it. The stamp is a large vase, stamped twice & cut in various parts for the shade, lamp base & bowl. The complete instructions were in a Scrap & Stamp magazine I'd picked up. When my stamp arrived yesterday I couldn't wait to give it a try following his instructions, I kind of rushed it & didn't place my flowers very well but was too anxious to see the outcome. I'm looking forward to trying it in various colors & layouts to see what I can come up with. I have to give credit where it's due, that is to Michael Strong, as the card design & stamp are his creation, you can check out his site here.

Birds

I stamped these birds on dark brown cs, with white Staz-on, colored with my prismacolors, outlined in white, added Glossy Accents for their eyes & beaks.

Blue & Green

Since I've been snowed in the past week or so I've gotten a lot of cards made. I was playing around with blues & greens for a swap I joined. The one on the right really has green in there, just not showing too well.

Butterflies

My first card of the new year & the only stamp I used was thank you. I punched the butterflies colored with a sponge using my ink pads, added glossy accents & a bit of glitter. This one is a simple one.
