Animals Challenge

Here is my inspiration card for the Come And Get It weekly Challenge.  Funny how this one came together, I had a couple of very nice visitors this past week who brought me the black, blue and pink cs as a gift, yep card makers and crafters too.  My first thought was I'll do a black and white, then I looked at my new card stock and thought aha I'll give these 2 cute little felines some color.

ELEANOR AND PICKLES CELEBRATION!!!

Late one night in June of 2012, Heather Valentin was on the phone with her best friend and was drawing, like many of us do when talking on the phone, and the result, the first Eleanor and Pickles image – Eleanor and Pickles Book of Spells. The first image of Eleanor by herself, was Eleanor Bookworm.

Now, 3 years later, Eleanor and Pickles make up the largest category of images created by Heather Valentin for Lacy Sunshine Stamps. Eleanor and Pickles along with various other character friends, like Tilly the dinosaur, have had many adventures over the past 3 years and Heather continues to draw new images of these delightful characters.

Over the next 2 days, the Lacy Sunshine DT gals will be celebrating Eleanor and Pickles 3rd Anniversary/Birthday with our Through The Years Blog Hop. I'm using the image Eleanor and Pickles Mammoth Ride from the Lacy Sunshine Shoppe and the blue designed paper is from Heather Valentin blue #3 created for this challenge.

I have to say this is the first Mammoth I've colored in my entire life AND I had to google "mammoth" to see what they look like and what they are.  I found this to be my "challenge".  All is colored with Copic Markers, I embossed the background with my cuttlebug then sponged Distress Tumbled Glass ink on it.  I've added Stickles, Glossy Accents, gems and Distress Stickles.  Sentiments are 2 stamps from my stash.

Paper Piecing

Hello and thank you for visiting, this is my DT card for the new challenge at Come And Get It, we have a fun theme this week it's Paper Piecing.  I haven't done this in such a long time I forgot how soothing it is just sitting and cutting little things out.

The dress and bows in her hair is made of  all little pieces of design paper by BJ Marr called Tulip garden.

Topsy Turvy

Today begins a new challenge at the Lacy Sunshine blog and the theme is:  Topsy Turvy Mismatch.  Fun idea here - take an image meant for one occasion and make it for something different/opposite.  For example, take a traditional Valentine image and make it for Halloween.

 


 This is Sugi Hocus Pocus from the Lacy Sunshine collection of  Sugi just one of her little characters in various dress for various occasions.  She is one of many fabulous characters created by Heather Valentin artist and owner, stop by her shop to see all the other characters.

This is actually Sugi dressed for Halloween but I thought not too bad dressed for Christmas, more usage of all the images I have.

Colored in Copics, the Poinsettia was stamped with a Magnolia wood mount, colored with distress ink, then spritzed with a little water, I cut it out added Glossy Accents and  Old Gold glitter.
